REMINDER: Orange Blossom Parade
18-Feb-2013 06:51 PM Filed in: Events

The parade will start at SW 39 Street and Davie Road. Parking will be available (but limited so don't be too late!) at the Blanche Forman Elementary School which is right on that corner. (There is also a McDonald's near there) If you're not familiar with the area, maybe you can do a "drive by" so you won't be stressed that morning.
There will be a tent and you can ask for our group and they will tell you what number we are in the lineup and point you in the right direction. We will have our CERT Emergency Vehicle & we try to be included with the Fire Department so look for us in that area. If you get tired of walking during the parade you will be able to ride.
Lineup starts at 9am. The parade starts at 10am, goes south on Davie Road to Orange Drive where the vendors & displays will be set up.
You should wear comfortable shoes, and bring your own water. We're all planning to wear our CERT T-Shirts. We'll have a limited supply of beads & candy to hand out to the crowds. If you can bring any individually wrapped, non melting candy (preferably life savers because that's what we are) to add to our donations that would be appreciated.
Lorraine's cell number is 954-298-5075 so please call if you have any concerns. Every year we've had fun participating - we hope you'll enjoy it as well.
